The Bayern Munich manager has expressed his delight on qualifying for the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League.

beaten at Allianz Arena.

two games and have scored a staggering 14 goals in the process.
The former Bayer Leverkusen boss is elated with the way Bayern played and admitted that getting the lead early in the game was vital for the win. He showered praise on the likes of Mario Gomez, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery for
their stunning performances recently.
“All credit to my team. With today's performance, they picked up seamlessly from last Saturday. Today we played top football from the start to the finish. We went out and did what we set out to do: score an early goal. After going
a goal up, we were very smart, very calm, and very skilful,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to the club’s official website.
Heynckes added that it was a perfect result for his side as Bayern are now in the last eight of the competition. He insisted that the players put in a determined performance and showed the willingness to win the game.
“Overall, it was a perfect match. The second and third goals came at a psychologically good time. Basel were demoralised after that. We showed we wanted to wrap it up and progress to the quarter-finals,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will next face Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 in the Bundesliga at the Olympiastadion on Saturday, March 17.
