FC Hollywood manager was pleased with the result and the effort put in by the Allianz Arena outfit, and also expressed his delight after seeing his players dominate the clash by enjoying the beautiful game.
Bayern Munich trainer Jupp Heynckes echoed his satisfaction with Die Roten squad after they annihilated Stuttgart 6-1 in Sunday’s showdown match at their home stadium. Der FCB conceded the first goal but came back strongly to take
the game away from their league rivals to a comfortable win.
Two consecutive wins have moved them to the top of the table, with German champions Borussia Dortmund drawing their game 1-1 against Nurnberg on Saturday. The Bavarian giants have amassed a healthy goal difference of +8 from just
two games and will challenge the BVB for the title honour after a trophy drought of two years.
The coach admitted that they were mere spectators as the game unfolded until the first 20 minutes and needed the cutting edge to create the chances and space in order for them to dominate.
"We were too passive in the first 20 minutes and lacked the aggression you need," Heynckes stated at a press conference.
He then stressed that Die Bayern were alarmed after going down and commended their urge to take control of the match imminently. The veteran said that after taking the lead, Bayern’s confidence rose and they played exceptionally
well with good attacking game play.
"But my team woke up after going 1–0 down, and reacted in the way we want them to. After that, we played outstanding football,” he added.
The 67-year-old revealed that the team members were ecstatic by the result and started playing their natural game as they were sure of a Bayern win. They also showed unity and strength.
"You could see the players enjoying it. Above all else, you could see a united team with total harmony. I'm delighted about winning 6-1, but even more about the impression I’m getting from the team in our daily work," he finally
concluded.
The tactician is glad with the progress of his side as they continued their superb run of form from the pre-season.
