The Bavarian giants’ coach stressed that his side did everything to claim a victory, adding that the rivals’ custodian made sure that Der FCB do not snatch all three points from the clash
Bayern Munich trainer Jupp Heynckes insisted that he has no regrets with the display exhibited by his players in their 1-1 league draw with Borussia Monchengladbach at the Allianz Arena on Friday. He was glad to share the spoils
and praised the performance of Gladbach goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The away side opened the scoring from Thorben Marx’s spot-kick in the first-half, but the Bavarian outfit secured a point after the interval when summer signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Xherdan-Shaqiri-c37074 levelled the game in the 59th minute. Nevertheless,
the manager was delighted but added that a draw was a little harsh on his side.
The former Real Madrid boss stated that they dominated their opponents and were unlucky not to get on the score sheet. However, he was satisfied with the result and said his team tried really hard at the end to steal all three
points. He complimented Die Roten for continuing their top form and containing Gladbach’s strikers.

"I am very happy, even though we only drew 1-1. We dictated the game for 90 minutes, especially in the second half. We played outstandingly well and did not give Borussia an opportunity to score,” he added.
The former striker suggested that Gladbach caused problems for their defence, but said their overall performance was worthy of a win.

"It was definitely not easy to defend against them, but I think that we deserved to win because of our second-half performance," he mused.

"Ter Stegen was the best player on the pitch, he was outstanding. We had a lot of chances, but we were not able to take them. We did not leak anything defensively. I can't fault my team,” he stated.
Heynckes then appreciated the quality of opposition goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and added that he was spectacular to keep Bayern at bay. The shot-stopper was the main reason behind the Reds not scoring more than a goal, as
he was outstanding.
