The Bayern Munich boss remains confident that his side will rediscover their winning touch ahead of the start of the new season.
The Bavarian giants had a dismal outing last term as they failed to secure silverware for the second consecutive year. The team had the chance of winning as many as three trophies but failed to get their hands on a single one in
the end.
Jupp Heynckes is confident that his side will be a totally different team when they play in the upcoming season. He admitted that the players have to get the thought of the disappointments off their minds to succeed in the next
outing.
The tactician is certain that the players will be even more motivated when they play in the pre-season as they will be looking to improve on the below-par performances last season.
“I'm utterly convinced we can be optimistic about the new campaign, although we've had a few things to get over. After a season like last term, you come back for pre-season training even more motivated,” he was quoted as saying
in an interview.
The former Bayer Leverkusen boss wants a new approach and high level of commitment when they return to training. He is confident that the club can do it this time around and is certain that the side will experience success with
the quality in the squad.
“We've now won nothing for two years, so you have to report back for training with a completely different mental attitude, completely different motivation, a totally different approach,” he continued.
However, Heynckes warned his side against complacency and admitted that the team cannot afford to be over confident at any stage of the season.
“It was shown again at the Euros: you can never be over-confident, never be satisfied, and you always have to step up another gear,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will kick start their Bundesliga proceedings against newly promoted Greuther Furth on Friday, August 24. The team will be looking to get the better of Borussia Dortmund after being the second best team in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904
