Heyward Girl ready for October after claiming the victory at Kempton Park
The trainer Robert Eddery realised that the promising and result oriented filly, Heyward Girl, is not to be taken lightly after she won the Kempton on 7th September, 2011.
She is a two-year-old chestnut filly who came first at the Kempton Park over a six furlong distance out of a field of twelve.
Onboard was Adam Beschizza and before that Heyward Girl raced at the Windsor for five furlongs on 18 April, 2011, with jockey Andrea Atznei and came second this time on a field of fourteen.
The unfortunate experience that Heyward Girl went through was on her debut at the Windsor when she stumbled into none other than Best Terms who is known for a flawless record.
She was beaten by Best Terms at the event and who is still unbeaten in her four starts.
She has won the Queen Mary Stakes and the Lowther too.
The two-year-old bay filly, owned by Mr R Barnett, is no doubt the best horse of the outstanding trainer Richard Hannon. For all her four wins, she was been ridden by the son in law jockey, Richard Hughes.
This star of the Richards, Best Terms will participate in the forthcoming Newmarket race on the 24th September, 2011 again under the impeccable supervision if the trainer, Richard Hannon.
At the Kempton Park on the 7th of September, Heyward Girl started in a good speed once she was out the gate, cleared the two furlongs almost effortlessly then shook up and edged left but with no real danger of being taken over or ridden out.
Planet I T an Irish stood second with jockey Liam Keniry, Navaho spirit came third, ridden by Marc Halford, and the fourth position was taken by Chrissycross, the Irish with Roger Teal onboard.
Heyward Girl went off at odds on when it returned on the Polytrack that night and had her hands full.
"She was beaten by Richard Hannon's best filly at Windsor and I do think she's good," said Eddery, the fledgling Newmarket trainer”.
"She is going to run in a novice race at Kempton on October 5, and then hopefully in a Listed race in Rome”.
