  1. Young Brandon,

It's great to see that you would like to get into the work force!

    First. What do you like?

    Fishing

    Small Machinery

    Computers

    Great at school?

Try a mentoring program, where you tutor primary students or even your peers to read, write or whatever their teacher's given them for homework.

Get your parents to ring up some of these places, let them explain, "They have a 14 year old teenager, keen to make some money and would like some on the job training, at the same time."

Not only, you're building a firm foundation in a job you would like to do when you're older, you're getting paid to do it as well!

If that doesn't work, try getting a job on a farm or try your local landscape gardening place, nursery!

If that's also not an option for you, wear some decent clothes (normally what your parents think is decent) and door knock businesses, early in the morning and as they are opening.  Introduce yourself and tell them your are keen to work!

If all the above is not working, try do some work with a local charity or church.

Best advice is to keep trying and you'll eventually get what you want!

  6. Brandon - what state are you in?  ....as there is different rules for each state.  If in Victoria see If you're under 15, you may be allowed to work in Victoria, but you must have a Child Employment Permit (CEP) from the Victorian Government before you can start.

For more info on Employment rights for under-15's see Youth Central website http://www.youthcentral.vic.gov.au/ViewP...

Qld - it's 14 1/2 years old although you can work earlier with your parents permission.

First of all look at http://www.wageline.qld.gov.au/youngwork...  and http://www.thesource.gov.au

A great site based for young people. 12 - 25 yrs old.

Coles, Woolworths, IGA, K-mart, Target, Big W, The Warehouse.

Any fast food places, McDonalds, KFC etc - they all take on casual staff. - Just walk in and ask !

Smaller takeaway shops, like Pizza, Pasta etc... they are always taking on delivery persons and need kitchen hands....

    - Most of the places above you apply online on their websites, look for a link 'careers' or 'employment'.  A bit lengthy I know.... but you fill in what area you want to work etc, and they will email you jobs coming up, you can pick and choose, if you are then accepted they will call you in for an interview.

If you live in another state - add it to your question and I'll pop back and I'll find the correct states website for you.

    Good Luck with it all.
