  1. It means if you remove the metal bars connecting the top and bottom speaker connecters you can hook up 2 amps and have the High Frequency (HF) and Low Frequency (LF) amplified seperately giving you a much better sound.

  2. Usually there is a metal bar to bridge the speaker terminals together.

Your speaker usually has 2 or 3 drivers:

A tweeter for high frequency sounds: HF

A mid range for middle frequency

    if it's a 3 way speaker

A woofer for low frequency sounds.

Higher end speakers let you feed each driver with a separate amp (like you have).  Or there is usually a bridge to connect all the "+" terminals and another for all the "-" terminals.

If you dont have the jumper - just run 2 wires from the "+" terminal to your amp and 2 more wires to the "-" terminal.

You might have to use 16 ga wire to get everything to fit.  Start with budget-but-decent wire from speaker building sites like PartsExpress.

Later you can try some of the more exotic ($$$) wires to hear if the slight difference is worht it to you - but start out with basic wires first.
