  1. A theory based on observation methinks.

    eg I have a theory that this question is to wind people up - my theory is based on my perception of the intention behind the question. So this is my hypothesis.

    It could be very far from reality though, your intention might not have been to wind me up!

  2. A simple answer would be an educated guess.

    Perception is the way you look at or the way you see something.

    A hypothesis is the answer or conclusion you have come to based on the way you thought or perceived what ever the subject was to be.
