Hi, Been wearing braces for almost 3 years(till now) and my teeth are super small. Something looks wrong?

I've been wearing braces for almost 3 years till now, I'm so sick of it! I really want to ask my dentist when it will be remove. Well she remove two molar teeth on upper part but she asked me to put orthodontic rubber. My mom seems to be super worried because my teeth didn't grow, and it is so so small, especially the lower teeth. and my gums are thick and very very noticeable, especially when I smile. When I smile with force the gums are the one noticed not that teeth (because it so small). I'm afraid I'm having some problems. help?

i had braces for a total of about 4 years, AND i had them on twice.... so...  i know what your talking about when u say u hate it.    

when i had mine on, my teeth seemed small too... cuz my gums were super swollen.. but when i got my braces off.. i just started doing a better job brushing my teeth (cuz the braces ew're there.. it was easier to brush my teeth) and the swollenness went away,m and my teeth are normal looking now.

i hope u get them off soon.ik they are a ***** to work with.  but its soooo worth it whne u get them off!! =)

you can have your dentist reduce the thick gums. when  gums are already reduced, your teeth will look bigger than what it is now. teeth might look smaller if gums are swollen or thick or whatever.

why wouldn't you have asked this of your orthodontist.  or wouldn't he have said something?  I think you probably just have big gums and that makes your teeth look smaller.  plus you had all that metal in your mouth for 3 long years. you've grown accustomed to seeing them that way.  get used to it, there's nothing you can do.
