Can i transfer my student visa to a new passport by sending it to Home Office being in my country of origin?

There is a long queue in the British embassy in my country, that's why i'm trying to send my passport to UK.

Will i have any problems entering in the Heathrow? Do they check the date when i left UK?

Thank you for answers!

  1. Do not transfer your student visa to a new passport because it will be damaged.  Apply for a new passport and you just have to present the old passport to show your student visa.

  2. Bad idea, very bad idea. Not only is there an excellent chance the visa would be damaged, but it would look like you were fiddling with it and immigration at the airport would put you in secondary and look hard at the passport, and you, for a very long time. Plus, the records in the system show which passport the visa was placed in, so you probably wouldn't be allowed in, but would be sent home to reapply.

    Do what has been suggested, keep the old passport and come back with both.

  3. no ,the visa is never transferred , it stays in the original passport, and authorities will attach them together.......the 2 passports........keep them safely together ;
