Hi, I'm a group owner, and I would ask you about, why my invitations are not delivered to the people(users)??

Question

So I send invitations throu invite people options, and it doesn't work, and then I was woundering why people didn't register to group.After several case I realized that the invitations are not delivered which is realy frustrating, pls post any answer which could be helpful. Thanks

go to management- under group activity click memberships and look to see if the invites list there. you can type into the search field 'invite' and it'll show al you've ever sent them to. there's a few pages to sending invites, and to be sure they were sent, you need to be sure you completed all pages.

if you did- invites have been faulty for a long time, partly yahoo and more so other providers which block invites as spam and there's nothing an owner can do about other providers.

if your group is closed, all you can do is see if there's another address to send the invites to.

if your group is not closed, send the grups URL in your own e-mail, which wont be seen as spam, they click the link- sends themt o the homepage and they then click the blue tab on right top- Join This group

A)  To check if invites was actually sent:

Click Management. Under Group Activity, click Memberships. In the Search logs field near top of page, type in the word invite . This will pull up a list of all invites sent by your group owners/moderators.

B)  If your invitations do not appear on the above list, you might not have completed the very last step of inviting people. It is Item #5 of the following steps:

1. Click Members in the list on the left side of any page.

2. In the upper right, click Invite People.

3. In the first box, enter the email addresses or Yahoo! IDs of the people you want to invite to your group, one per line. In the second box, write the text of the invitation you want them to see.

4. Click Submit Invite.

5. Preview your invite. If you'd like to edit it, click Edit.

If you'd like to send it, click Invite People.

NOTE: If you do not continue on through #5 and click Invite People, the invite will not be sent.

Another thing could prevent your invites from being received is if they have set their Yahoo Account to not receive invites from group owners. They would have to change that setting if they want to receive your invites.

You could try emailing an invitation explaining the group with the URL pasted in the body of the message and also asking them to forward it on to their friends and family.
