I am making about $1100 a month from teaching exercise. Is it worth to work for USPS at age of 62. What I can gain from working for USPS for my retirement?

Thanks.

  1. No.  You have a real job and are being productive now.  Why go on welfare.  Every govt. job = welfare check out of the pockets of us legitimate workers!

  2. just passing the exam doesn't get you a job with the post office  it just puts you on a waiting list with 1000's of others who also got perfect scores - the test result is good for 3 yrs I think and if you don't get called about a job in those 3 yrs, you name goes off the waiting lsit and you have to take the test again. At age 62, I woudln;t hold my breath

  3. You will probably make more working for the USPS and you will have government benefits that will not be available to you being self employed. If you are self employed, you can continue to do some work on the side if you really enjoy being an instructor, so you do not have to give it up entirely.
