  1. I think the best accommodation's and the best rates I every heard about is through this company. You can stay for 8 days an 7 nights from $298 to $799  these are first class hotels or resorts I could not believe it myself. Take a look for your self and look at FAQ.  http://www.travel-vacation-timeshare-res...

  2. Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar which i have been to several times and I had my wedding ceremony there.  It is an all-inclusive hotel and very beautiful.

However, I wouldn't go to the mayan ruins.  I have been there and it is lots of walking (which I don't mind but when there is no air-flow and your in a jungle area), hot, miserable, nothing to drink, and they just looked like old delapidated bricks ready to fall over.  That is a personal opinion but I am warning you...

  3. I might be mistaken but I think you are asking for hotel suggestions in Cancun's Hotel Zone. If so, your decision on where to stay depends on one question, do you want to stay at an All-Inclusive resort where you meals and beverages are included in the price of the room, or would you like to stay at a European Plan resort where you pay for your room only? The EP resorts are often less expensive and you get a higher quality resort for the money, however the trade off is meals and beverages in Cancun can become quiete costly. There are higher end AI resorts and I will name a few here for you to investigate:

Riu Palace Las Americas - RPLA, the slightly less expensive sister property Riu Cancun should be considered as well.

    Dreams Resort

    Gran Caribe Real

The Royal in Cancun-adults only property

    Barcelo Tucancun

    Golden Parassus-adults only property

    Cancun Palace

    Sun Palace-adults only

There are several wonderful choices for EP resorts as well:

Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach-their lesser priced Fiesta Americana Condesa should also be a consideration

    Me by Melia

    Le Meridien

J.W. Marriott-the lesser expensive Marriott CasaMagna is next door

GR Solaris-Royal Solaris is the sister property

Cancun's Hotel Zone has a couple hundred restaurants to choose from. It is a culinary dreamland as far as I am concerned, with something to offer anyone and everyone. This is what I love most about Cancun, aside from the beaches and the nightlife. Rather than go into suggesting restaurants, since I do not know what type of cuisine you prefer, I recommend you pick up a Cancun travel guide or two, to take along on your trip.

As far as Mayan ruin sites, Chichen Itza is the most spectacular site in the area. It is located inland, 2 1/2 hours by tour bus from Cancun. It is a day trip that you should take with a tour group. Be sure to price your tours before you travel, and make sure you are familiar with the policies. Most tour companies do not offer rescheduling or cancelation policies, especially the ones at the resorts. The other Mayan ruin site is that most people visit is the only site located overlooking the Caribbean. The ruin site of Tulum is much smaller than Chichen Itza, and is coupled with a visit to one of the areas eco parks, either Xcaret or Xel-Ha. I recommend that if you visit Tulum, you couple it with Xel-Ha, for any number of reasons. First is, Xcaret is so big, that you won't possibly have enough time to see it in one day with the combo of Tulum. The other reason is that Xel-Ha offers a version of an All Inclusive meals and beverage plan, for not that much extra money. It becomes quite cost effective during the course of an afternoon to be Xel-Ha on an AI plan as opposed to Xcaret. Since you are new to visiting the Mayan ruins, I would recommend you focus your attention on these two sites, Chichen Itza and Tulum, before you consider any others.

    Have fun planning your vacation,

  4. If you want to stay close to the ruins, the Villas Arqueologicas hotels are a good deal.  There's one at Chichen Itza, Uxmal and Coba.  Click the link below to see reviews of hotels at Chichen Itza.

  5. I really like the Del Mar hotel and they are all inclusive.  We stayed at Pariso (sp) del mar but there are a couple.  You can also get a deal on trips like going to the mayan ruins or swimming with dolphins, etc.
