I've advertised in the local paper and I have passed out business cards and flyers. I even have a website. But no one is biting. Am I doing something wrong?

  1. Found the Part of town that you would to work in and then do some leg work like door to door with your card.

  2. Hi Sasha,

       A few things:

    1.  In today's economy it is tough to start a cleaning company or other businesses like that.  People who are struggling now that is one of the first things they give up.  I know some carpet cleaners, lawnscapers, house cleaners,  etc.  who have been very successful  and now are struggling because of this.

    2.  It can be quite expensive to get your site seen.  Especially if you are new.  I don't think you want to pay someone 1,000's to optimize it.

I have a suggestion:  Supplement your income by selling something that is not local.  Something you can sell to anyone in the world.

I can tell you a place where you can advertise  for free and :

    1. It  is simple:  I will personally show you the few steps you need to do

    2.  it is free- no credit card or personal info required ever.

    3.  all you have to do is look at others websites for about 10 minutes a day.

    A few things:

    1. Don't believe anything on the internet that says you can make money at home.

    2. Don't offer to pull out a credit card for a company or business you can't do a search on Yahoo and find out some info first

    3. Don't try any business you can't actually find anyone who has been successful at it.

I was a struggling realtor/home flipper here in Florida and going through my life savings with bad real estate investments. A local successful businessman told me about a company and I checked them out thoroughly.

You can contact me and i will give you the info you need to check it out for FREE! No credit card or personal info asked for ever. This is a real company you can check out on the BBB, you can google the successful owner/ceo. He just won a national award for this business and received it personally from President Bush.

I will also give you actual people you can call and ask their experience and a chatroom (not associated with company) where you can talk to others in the company. No selling vitamins or health drinks or any c**p like that.

This is an internet advertising company that is gearing to be the biggest internet presence since Google/Face book and the owners philosophy is, instead of making one owner and a bunch of stockholders rich it will be us, the people who got in early and built company.

You can contact me at dapproperties@yahoo.com and I will personally help you.

    Dave

  3. That is good that you have a website.  Just a website by itself though, is not enough.  That doesn't mean that people will actually find your website and call you from it.

I specialize in Search Engine Optimization, and I help people's website actually produce profit for them.  Here's what I mean...

Everyday, there are people going online to Google and other search engines and typing in something they're looking for.  Where I live, there are people typing in "home cleaning in cincinnati", and then clicking on one of the first companies that appears.  Unless your website is on the first page of the search engines, it is not producing any traffic for you.  So the goal should be to get on the first page so those people are clicking on YOUR site instead of your competitors'.

There are also many other low-cost internet marketing ideas that you can implement to make your website produce new customers for you.  Let me know if you need anymore insight into these other methods.

  4. Sometimes thinking outside of the box helps. Find out who you are marketing to by answering a few ?'s. For instance who will buy my service, what income level are they in, where do these buyers live. Market your service to builders, (make readies) apartments, Realtors, landlord, investors, business offices, government buildings, churches etc. The list is bigger than you may have anticipated. Offer a free cleaning to introduce yourself (break the ice so to speak) Are you insured/bonded? This can be a selling point. Check with your local Small Business Administration for marketing tips. This is a free service offered by the Gov.

  5. well you can try telling friends

  6. Getting your name out there isn't enough. Advertising is about reaching the right people - with the right message.

Have you done any market research? Before you can effectively advertise, you need to learn everything you can about who your customers are, and who your competitors are. Don't forget that your type of business has a very specific audience. Many may want to hire you, but who can afford to? Where do they live, work, dine...do they read the paper or do they get their news online? Market research is the key to knowing where and how to advertise.

  7. Write articles about your website or ideas.

Submit your website for users to review, free!

    Post Free Classifieds.

    Go to Famous Pages

  8. Post flyers

    tell your friends

tell your friends to tell theyre friends

put and ad in the penny saver or someplace like that
