  1. Peeing in the house can mean a few things. Take him to the vet for a urinalysis.Rule out medical before treating behavioral issues. Talk to the vet about your concerns. It's a good possibility that he is marking territory. Cats are generally a solitary, territorial creatures. They do not like other cats and he feels threatened by the young kittens and marking his turf.

Try Natures Miracle for the urine in the carpet. If you see no improvement, I suggest professional carpet cleaning. Sometime cat pee soaks into the carpet pad or worse, the floor. You may want to get a pheromone spray to help prevent re-marking.

I also suggest finding homes for the kittens and spaying mama cat. There are more than enough homeless cats in shelters and on the streets. So please stop contributing to the problem.

  2. u should try a pet safe disinfectant as it is for geting rid of smell and

is safe for animals.and try letting him out to go to the toilet

  3. I had 6 cats and only 1 uses the cat litter(she is inside cat, the others like to play in the yard!

I adopted a little black cat that appeared under my porch, last halloween(she is a black cat) she just deivered my 8 cat! she is adorable and also is 6 weeks old1 I prepare a lttle box  special for the baby! no one cames close to it!

  4. Couple of things....get more than one litter box....have the kittens use a new one, and let the male cat use his familiar one....If you find any spots that he may have urinated in....make solution of baking soda and water...soak the area really well...if there's a rug...let it soak into it well....then mop up what you can, let it dry, repeat the process until the odor goes away....there's a lot of commercial preparations out there, but this works well if you do it right...Also: get that mother cat fixed as soon as possible...no more kittens please...there's an over abundance of unwanted, abandoned cats in this country!!!

  5. Rule of thumb is to have one litter tray for every cat. If you have too many cats sharing trays then they will start peeing elsewhere. I have an old Persian that refuses to use a soiled litter tray.

Vinegar solution (50/50) helps neutralise the smell or you can get a Urine Neutralising spray from some hardware shops such as Ace.

Your male cat will be asserting his position as Alpha male. It is good that he is not attacking the kittens but he may continue to spray until his dominance is asserted. Get some additional air fresheners for the house for the time being.
