Hi, Im thinking about Buying a new camcorder, and is there specific features that i should look for?

I just bought one on Saturday.

The top ones come with HD capability now but that bumps the price way up to approx. $800 minimum.

You should decide whether you want to record onto a DVD, memory stick or hard drive.

Also, if you want to download onto a computer, how user friendly is the software.

You should be looking also at a media that you will be comfortable with.  That means you will be choosing between Mini DVD, mini tapes, Hard Drive or now even Flash Memory storage system for your camera.  Hard Drive and Flash are the newest and offer some connivance but are still a bit high end on price compared to Mini tapes or DVDs.
