  1. nick jr .com

  2. Try This Out: http://www.shambles.net/pages/staff/KS1/

this has links to all kinds of sites and here are some more:

    uptoten.com

    learningplanet.com

    funbrain.com

    http://www.croft.notts.sch.uk/Online%20A...

    http://www.bristol-cyps.org.uk/teaching/...

  3. keep her offline.  get a reading book, get a math workbook & sit down with her to read & do math.

  4. www.learningpage.com has some good  thematic worksheets by grade level that focus on math and reading.

  5. For language arts try www.starfall.com - kids in K & 1st grade, and some even in 2nd grade found this site fun and challenging.   For math try www.mathisfun.com .  There is a lot at this site for many age groups.  I agree with another community member that reading books is a great thing, however the online world will give a child fun things to do too.  I've read to my kids (now 8 & 12) daily for 30 minutes for as long as I can remember...almost since they were born.  My 8 yr old now reads at the 6th or 7th grade level and my 12 yr old at the high school level.  More importantly they love to read.  Raise a reader and you'll raise a lifelong learner!  Good luck!

  6. My daughter's teacher sent home a list of great websites for math and english (my daughter is 6 also).  Here are some of the ones that she suggested my older kids even like some of these sites.  I hope this helps....

    www.starfall.com

    www.kindersite.org/index.html

    www.funschool.com

    www.scholastic.com

    www.readinga-z.com

    www.storyplace.org/eel/eel.asp

    www.storiestogrowby.com

    www.funbrain.com (my daughter's favorite site)

    www.pbskids.org

  7. www.bbc.co.uk/learning is very good and has lots of activities.  But remember imaginary play and active play are just as important so make sure that her time is equally divided between them.

  8. You could try:       www.brainpop.com

I know I have used this for my son.

Also under Yahoo they have a section for kids..
