Hi, Thinking of getting a free view TV for the kitchen could anyone recommend a good indoor arieal to use?

have just decorated kitchen so dont want to be drilling through walls to put a proper ariel lead in.

  1. You will be lucky to get any indoor aerial to work properly, unless you are in a very good reception area


  2. With an indoor aerial, your chances of unacceptable interference from the TV's appliance Whanau, (cousins),  in the near vicinity are high... can't you do a sneaky feed through the window???

  3. It could depend on which area you are living in. I bought a freeview TV and yet even with a new "super boosted" rooftop aerial I still can't get any reception yet. My area isn't due to switch over completely until 2010 though. I have seen it reported that even loft aerials may not be able to get a strong enough signal to support digital, so I'd be really surprised if any indoor aerial was good enough.

    If you really don't want to drill holes then you might be able to find a way of laying an extra co-axial cable indoors by using a splitter on your existing cable as it comes into the house.
