  1. I have two pieces of advice, one you prob don't want to hear, which is

    1) Don't bother trying to 'turn a profit' from sports betting, esp horse racing. Think about it, have you ever heard of anyone who can legitimately prove they were made a rich man from gambling on horses or sports? Don't believe the so called 'professionals' who offer to give tips for money. If they were so good, they would spend all their time/money gambling instead of running/advertising tip services. Anyone who tells you they make loads of money from sports or horse race betting is 100% lying.

Also, if you've already lost a substantial amount of money, you probably will never get back what you've lost, will most likely lose more, and spend lots of time trying to chase your losses. Use your money and time for other stuff and you'll probably be happier.

Now that I've bummed you out with the truth, I'll give you the best strategy for betting without going broke.

1)Bet small amounts in proportion to your bankroll, which should be a portion of money set aside for gambling, not your rent money, food money, etc.

2)Always bet the same amount or have two or three set amounts you bet. I still think one bet amount gives you the best chance of consistent earnings. Betting a larger amount to get back a series of losses can mean disaster. Also, betting a larger amount after winning a bet to 'double up and make a big score' will often lead you to lose your hard earned profits with one bet. These two things are the worst habits that get gamblers killed and keep bookies rich.

    3) Never do exotic wagers. That means horse racing only bet to win. Don't do each way or doubles. In sports, don't do teasers or parlays. It's hard enough to win one bet, let alone two. If these bets gave gamblers an advantage, bookies would not offer them, would they?

Like I said, this is probably not what you want to hear. But the truth is, you have three choice: Quit gambling and save your money for other things, try and grind out a small profit with the approach I described, or go broke trying some 'magic system'

  2. No 'system' works, you just pay someone else to choose your selections. Stick to your own judgement, it's much more satisfying when you win.

  3. Yes, but if I told you then everyone would know so i will keep this one to myself..........

Oh ok then - I goto the bookies and place a bet, sometime later on i go collect my winnngs

    I love it!

  4. No.

Do you have one that is profitable?

  5. I have been betting for years and there is no 'system' on any sport, believe me.But it can be fun.I used to spend a lot of money on horses, big bets and if you won it was champagne all round. After losing my business, my lovely wife, and a lot of people I was once close to I now get a lot of pleasure from tiny bets that win and don't hurt me.Winning £5.00 from a £1.00 bet is great ! Losing £500.00 from a 'hot tip' is not ! Be careful don't s***w up your life !.x

  6. There isnt one and the longer you think there is the more you'll lose! It's all complete luck

  7. Betting is just luck.  I like to have a flutter on the horses, but you cannot just rely on the favourite to win.  You could look at the tips in the papers ie Daily Mail and The Sun.  I have been quite lucky with those recently.  Some you lose, some you win, but mostly lose.  Keep the bet small and never more than you can afford to lose.  What sport is more favourable for you?

  8. The only sure way to win is to use arbitrage...

now if you have the time to do all the research you may find an event that offers abritrage..

since all of the odds in a bookmakers book....eg the starting prices are a mathematical equation and really depend on the amounts wagered you need to find an event and 2 seperate bookmakers that offer odds where you will win regardless of the outcome..

for example lets look at a tennis match....say player A an american plays player B who is english

on an american betting site the odds for A are 6/4 as he is a well liked american player and they have bet on him to win and the odds are down to 6/4.

on an english site player B is 6/4 to win for the same reasons...

so bet 400 to win on the american site for polayer A and 400 to win on the english site on player b

total bet 800....no matter who wins you get 1000 back.

easy..?    but you will have to spend ages looking all over the world to find the occasional arbitrage bet...good luck

  9. My advice:  never EVER pick a hound to win a horserace.

  10. i have one dont bet only one winner and that is not you

  11. Heres one.........Horses, current seasons form only......must have won last two races......must have won over course and distance.

Not a lot of selections, but they win a lot and many at better prices than you would think!!

  12. Tell me yours first!
