  1. We used the Nationwide, we use them for everything though and the interest was quite good on her first year so were happy.

BTW- Oliver is a gorgeous name.

  2. We went for Nationwides Saving Account Trust Funds with both our girls as we didn't want to use one that has stocks and shares :)

Just a point stevie xxxx you can ONLY put the £250 into a Child Trust Fund it cannot be paid into any other type of account ;)

  3. hey hunni

i work for the abbey and at the moment they have really good interest for child trust funds thou i would advise you to open either a flexi saver account or a savers account depending weather u want to withdrawal or not.

Both accounts can be put as ur childs name but u as the trustee which means u have full power of it. The interest that they give AT THE MOMENT is APPARENTLY the best on the market.

the child trust fund is like the savers book as you can pay in but not withdrawal but unfortunatly u dont get as much interest and its quite limited on wat u can do with. unlike the otha two accounts that i mentioned u with the trust fund u  woodnt be able to have either a book or a card and in certain currcumtances interent banking.

so i would advise you to have a look around first.

just a lil tip when opening any account make sure that u and or your partner have a reconised form of i.d such as a drivers liance or a valid passport as well as a birth certificate of ur child.

good luck and i hope this has helped!
