If there is someone who can help it would be greatly appreciated. What time do the shuttle companies finish at night?

  1. Cab.  Just bite the bullet and pay for the cab.  They should know EXACTLY where the hotel is, and drop you right at the door.  You don't want to be messing around at that hour with anything else.

  2. The taxi cab man

  3. If you don't feel comfortable taking public transportation at night, try to get a shared shuttle, they're 50% cheaper than cabs. They normally don't operate after 11:00 pm but they say to contact them to make arrangements outside their regular business hours: http://www.parishuttle.com/index.php?pay...

If you google "shared shuttle CDG airport" you'll find a lot of other companies.

@ Sue: a shared shuttle drops you right at your door too. The only difference being that you share the cab with other people going in the same direction, which is illegal for regular taxis. It may take a few minutes more to drop off other passengers but it  reduces the cost.

  4. The safest way is clearly a taxi or a private shuttle although taxis are quite an expensive option. Shuttles are far more reasonably priced although still considerably more expensive than public transportation.

You are arriving at 23:30 but don't say from where. If you must clear both customs and passport control you may be too late to catch the last RER (light rail train) into the city as the RER closes down at 1:30.

However, private shuttle services usually operate whenever there are customers to pick up. Make a reservation in advance online so they will know they have a passenger. There are many such services. Here is just one: http://www.paris-airport-shuttle.com/

Further, the RATP operates a Night bus service. Since you haven't said where you are going in the city I can't tell you which bus you need to take. Buses are generally safe at any time since the driver can observe the entire bus and has the means to summon aid if anything untoward were to occur.

  5. Well, you have only two options : the RER (train back to the city) or a cab because I don't think airports shuttles are still running at this time and they turn out to be expensive for such a service). The RER is okay because it's under surveillance but still, if you want the safest way, you should go for a cab. I'm not sure what the price is because it's been years since I've last done that. Besides, it'll be the night fare so it'll be a bit more expensive.

  6. Cab or limo...Limos can be there anytime you want...just call and arrange it. tagger
