Hi, has any one been to Tours france and have you attended the Universite of Francois Rabelais?What is it like

Im a student in NJ planning to go study abroad at Tour this summer and I want to know what it's like from a persons own experience instead of a tourist website. negative and positive experiences are welcome. Oh and I barely speak french. Would it be to difficult for me to get around?

Area south of the city centre towards the expo centre - the Arab quarter - is a bit rough.

Locals absolutely charming, but you will get by that much better idf you learn a little French.  English is not widely spoken.
