We are flying to St. Thomas on September 9-15. I was wondering if the water is grey and murky? Is there any chance of a blue sky and blue waters during that week? I'm going to a "flightseeing" tour, do you think that's out for that week due to the stupid hurricanes? Please give me feedback, I am really worried-but no need to sugarcoat anything. Thank you.

  1. It's mostly rain for the next week. Unfortunately, as the other post mentions, you have Ike and Josephine forming in the Atlantic. But I should add that they are following Hanna along the same path. The Weather Channel meteorologist last night said all of the forming storms are starting to fall into the same pattern -- a big loop that hits the Eastern Caribbean and comes up the East Coast of the U.S. I hope you have good luck.

  2. There are 3 storms out there. Hurricane Hanna (getting ready to moving on)Tropical storm IKE and possibly TS Josephine. (Invest 99)

Here is a website to keep an eye out for.

They could be gone or going in a different direction by time you get to St Thomas. Just check this website and you will be fine.

September is the biggest months for tropical storms.

    Good Luck)
