I'm worried that they will have a different system and that it won't work. If this is true, then is there anything they can do to convert it, etc. Any advice gratefully received. Many Thanks.

  1. Is the DVD a home copy or a bought DVD?

Bought DVD - they will need a multi-region player

Copied disc - should be ok

    Hope this helps.

(I think most new DVD players over there are now multi-region)

  2. No dear friend, you don't need to worry CD will work most probably. Most of all audio and video CD works on every system unless some specific formate. and if your friend doesn't have that specific player to play that CD, they will find converter for that CD  through website(google). still if you have any query plz get back to me and i ll help you out to play that CD with particular player, formate coverter and all.

  3. They have to translate it into Canadien - aye.

  4. If it is put in a stand alone dvd player it might not play as they have a different region code. But if they play it on a PC they can download a file that will allow most sources to be played.

Tell them to go to www.free-codecs.com

  5. depends if their dvd player plays all regions dvds

  6. they can check if their player is unlockable online, alot of players are, if not it will be hard to play it

  7. canada are region 1 so they would have to have a multi-region player

  8. as last answer states if used on a pc probably not but failing that in most countries now you can get multi region dvd players some can be more expensive but remember you can get a cheap player that will play most regions
