  1. Um.  That would be now.  Don't waste your time wondering about it.

Hanami is great, but if you go then, then you'll miss out on what's happening now.  If you go at a different time, you'll be missing out on something else.

Kyoto is a must-see.  It's a city full of temples and shrines.  It was the capital of Japan for hundreds of years.  You can also easily visit Nara from there which was the original capital of Japan and is amazing.  It has the world's largest wooden building housing a statue of Buddha.

A lot of places in Japan are amazing.  It's hard to just choose a few.

I'd say go asap and enjoy it.  If you can go this summer you should try to go to just some typical local summer festivals and see all the girls in their summer kimono.  Eat grilled squid at the same time.

  2. Kyoto in the spring. No other place like it.

  3. March - April

    Sakura blossoms, best represent Japan

  4. October is nice-the 24/7 heat is gone but the days are still warm, at least in Tokyo.

  5. There really is no best time to visit Japan.

I have been there 5 times in different seasons and traveled all across the entire nation from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

The summer time is generally most hot and humid, but spring and early fall are very comfortable.

  6. Its typhoon season from September through October would be exciting.

  7. Personally, I love Japan in the fall when the trees start to turn color and the summer heat and humidity is gone.... September, October.

  8. When your time allows, take the trip.  There is no better moment than now.  Whether it turns out to be your only trip, make the best of it.  Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter are all beautiful.  Make your trip memorable so that it lasts a lifetime.  Enjoy!

  9. The rainy season just ended and it is so hot, sticky and humid right now. Trust me I lived there during this time.

The best time is in spring when all the cherry blossoms are out, but it's also the peak season, so more expensive.

In the fall the leaves change colors, It's a great time to visit the Golden temple of Kyoto. You might get lucky and see Geishas in the city.

  10. I say summer even if it's hot, summer has to be the best time for special events. but its crowded and so if u dont like crowded times, you shouldnt go during summer or winter. best view time is spring. you can go see cherry blossoms on in this season
