Hi, i bought a 2gb mp3 and for some reason only 178 songs appear on it instead of the 500 i copied on it.

i tried deleting all my files to start again but it still remained the same. but when ever i access my mp3 on my computer, it shows that i have 500 songs. could it be faulty? help please. thank you.

faulty. bring out the reciept and buy the Zune.

That may be all the songs that can fit on your 2 gb mp3 player. It all depends how compressed the songs are.

Also keep in mind, when they say 2GB, that is an estimate, just like the 500 songs. Part of that is taken up for program files, and the operating system for the player.
