  1. Since you are a U.S. citizen the cost of your medical education will be much cheaper, since in India you will be classed as a Indian resident anymore. Furthermore as a U.S citzen you qualify for in-state tuition, FAFSA loans and other financial aid from your university. Also there are many more grants and scholarships available to you.

The level of education as far as medical school's go is much better here in the U.S. than it would be India.

  2. Its cheaper in india, but the education here is better and if you resident here after you graduate you are guaranteed a job at a hospital. Where as in india you must take a test here again and then look for a job and you might get a permanent job, might be moved around from one hospital to the next. You also might not get the job you want either. But, if you study here then you even get hands on experience while going to school and get paid for it too.

  3. It is definately a lot cheaper to get a degree in medicine in India, but you will have to get a license and go through board exams etc once you come back. If it was  me I would  go to India just to save the money  specially if mopney is an issue.

  4. Medical Education in India is not as cheap as

one may think it is particularly as you are a

    Non-Resident Indian.Also the admission

procedures are tough. Moreover, after you secure your MBBS degree in India, you still have to complete your MD course, with no guaranty of a job in India. If you plan on returning to the US for completing your residency, then you still have to go through the qualifying examination called the USMLE where you have to secure a decent score to be able to get admitted to a residency program in a

reputed hospital. All in all,it may perhaps be wiser and cheaper to do your medical study in the US by obtaining a loan from a bank.Good

    Luck.
