Hi, i have family in italy and germany and can't find them...?

Question

my mum was literally left on an orphanage doorstep as a baby, she knows her fathers name has met him and her mothers name only maiden though and she has married since.. how do you go about tracking down lost family members? my mumhas tried the electoral roles but as her mothers name is not the same anymore it was no help. i also have an aunty in england who's first name i only know.. any advice would be muchly appreciated..

It is going to be impossible I'm afraid without a current surname,a location and age of the person sorry.

You didn't say where you are located - Australia ?  Records are different from Country to Country and even State to State in the US.

Let us know where you are and we'll all try and give you some ideas.  I'm still trying to sort my father's side of the family because I just found out he didn't die when I was 2 like my mother said ( & I believed) & died at age 70! It's hard to get records when a lot of the people are dead but not impossible.  Good Luck
