Thanks. The price range is 250-450 Thanks alot. Also can you tell me a good editing program for Windows that can do great special effects? Thanks. And it has to be compatible with the camcorder.

Mid-level editing software like Sony Vegas and high-level software normally don't come with a camcorder or a computer - unless you purchase a special computer package deal for a couple thousand dollars.

Your Windows computer came with a decent low-level editing program:  Windows Movie Maker.  It can capture video from all dv tape camcorders (miniDV, full size DV, and HDV) as well as import video from most other video cameras that record to other formats like AVCHD as long as the video is saved in a format or converted to a format that WMM accepts.  If not, your option it so use another program like Quicktime Pro ($30) to convert the video or purchase an better editing program Sony Vegas Studio for under $100 or Adobe Premiere for a few hundred dollars.

Any camcorder in your price range can have the two features you listed.  You won't have to go far to find them.  You can find them in local stores and online.  Your best prices are usually online.  Your best choice will be a camcorder that uses miniDV or HDV tape since WMM and Sony Vegas are specifically designed to capture video from these camcorders, but Sony Vegas Pro will accept and handle other formats like AVCHD.

Camera and Editing Software aren't sold together..they are pretty different..

companies do manufacture both, but dont sell them together..
