Hi, iam an indian on a dependent visa in uk, can i get a irish visa without my husband applying for it, or do?

  1. Oh, this is complicated.

    It is a matter of tradition, and it's still kind of set down in law, that a person who is not considered by law to be a foreigner in Ireland, is not considered to be a foreigner in the mainland UK either, and vice versa. It may be that you don't need to get anything, if you already have documentation that shows you are entitled to be in the UK.

    If not, I don't really know, but I'd say your husband will have to involved in your application, even if he is not applying for a visa himself.
