  1. What other change could you make you have to switch to a 250F because thats the next class after your on the 85s

  2. the crf 250 is a good allround bike it has a weak clutch and is a bit slower than the kxf and ktm's but is a good allround solid bike and engine wise is reliable personally i would go for the kawasaki they in my opinion are the best 250f they are fast and handell well and have strong clutch and brakes. that said any of the 5 main 250f's are capable of winning at all levels so just go with the one you like best but bear in mind things like having a dealer locall ect....

mike u have no idea mate i had hondas from 04-07 and whent through clutches every 3-4 hours and the breakes get too hot . and they are slower than kawasakis all my bikes are run on the dyno and i have print outs of exactly what hp they are putting out so stop talking c**p

  3. Yeah that's a smart move. Like James said, you can win on any of these bikes, but the important thing is to choose the one that fits your style and ability. What works best for a pro may not work best for you. Just read a few of the shootouts and draw your own conclusion. Here is a perfect example, maybe one bike is great in handling, power, etc., but falls a little short in the suspension category. If you are a serious A or B class racer you are most surely going to have your suspension worked before you run the first race so the suspension issue doesn't matter. On the other hand a new rider probably won't spend $1500 having his suspension worked by Pro Circuit so good stock suspension is more important to him.

  4. well, if you like the top end tork or low end tork they work in different ways. no one rides a 2 stroke and go for a kawasaki they seem like there the best right now

  5. Definately do it. Honda's are great bikes and make superb race bikes. And they make tons of aftermarket parts. Don't listen to that James V guy, he has no clue what he is talking about. They do not have a weak clutch and are not slower than kawasaki's. Not sure about Ktm's just because i'm never around them and have never ridden one. A honda CRF 250 would be great. just remember a couple of things. Don't mix the gas and oil together. and remember you have alot of torque. good luck and i hope you get a great bike.
