would this be a good buy for college and to play wow and combat arms on?

  1. thats the dv5-1002 nr, i have the dv5-1004nr, great for my games, and fast, but the one i have has better graohics, 256 mb dedicated, urs has something much less, but good for college

I don't know, but I don't think so.  You don't mention the price you are to pay, but the price, whatever it is, isn't nearly very good compared to going to www.pricewatch.com and checking out what this item costs, including shipping.  I would bet you could get this or similar machine for less than 1/2 or even 1/3 whatever the retail outlet price is that you are looking at.  Similar ones without delving too far in to match every spec you list are going for ~$500.  What price are they asking at the store you're going to?

    everything it has is pretty outdated.
