  1. I'm not Muslim, but know of a few restaurants in the UK that serve halal food and have a 'bring-your-own-bottle' policy.  I think they charge a small corkage charge.

    Previous poster - halal means 'permissable' and is applied to the type of meat you describe because that's permissable within Islam.


  2. HALAL IS MEAT THAT MUSLIM PEOPLE EAT, WHERE THE ANIMAL HAS BEEN BLESSED PRIOR TO BEING KILLED. HENCE THE MARKET FOR LIVE ANIMALS EXPORTATION.
