Hi, my fridge part of my candy 50/50 frost free fridge freezer keeps freezing up. ?

it is on its lowest setting yet the items in it still become frozen. i have to keep turning it off for a few hours a day to prevent it freezing everything. it is almost 5 years old.

Check the door seal all the way around the door. One way of telling if it is sealing properly is to take a dollar bill and insert it between the door and seal in a number of places. Close the door and tug on the bill. If it comes out easily the seal is leaking and should be replaced.

clean the coils on the back of the fridge.  this allows for better heat transfer.
