In short -- you aren't going to find a sponsor. You are going to need to pay yourself, through money from friends and family and *maybe* your local community of faith (if you have such), and through working yourself for the money. Remember that there are other people in your community making this very same request for mission trips overseas and various conferences and what not -- corporations and businesses generally have a blanket "no" policy for such requests, since they benefit individuals rather than community organizations.

You may want to contact your local paper to do a story on you and acknowledge a fundraiser. This way it can be made aware of your circumstance. THen from there see if your school or class can hold a dance, spaghetti dinner or Pancake breakfast. Also you may want to contact your local legions (lions club, the moose, etc) Good luck
