Hi, please my family needs help.

Question

My mother and my aunt are cape verdeans. They live in USA legally. But both doesn't speak enough English, they would like to be an americans citizens. One year ago they paid over $1500.00 to a man who works for USA naturalization and he told them that he can help them to make the papers and to translate everthing, but the guy cashed the check and never call, they tried to call him, but he never answer the phone, he just disapper. Please we need help, What we can do on this situation? Thankx

Sounds like he was a fraud.Just go to the cops and file a complaint.They will take care of him.

To get their citizenship process start they need to go to nearby USCIS office, why dont u help them with english if u cant find a close relative or somebody they can trust. They will let them know what are the papers and how will be the procedures.May be a lawer can help them with this issue.

I can assure you the man did not work for USA naturalization.

They can report him to the police, but he's long gone.

the only thing left to do, is to contact the authorities,and file a complaint,since it has been a year? not sure now how the police can find him, as far as getting the citizenship, you have to contact the USCIS,
