  1. That is odd, gestation for a guinea pig is 59-73 days so 90 is definitely past due.  You need to return to the vet to have your guinea pig re-examined.  The vet may want to perform and x-ray to determine if there are actually any fetuses, or what is going on internally.

  2. I would get a second opinon.

  3. well i think that is kinda weird becuz it only takes a hamster 2 weeks to have her babies and guinea pigs r in the same family.......maybe u should call ur vet and ask!!

  4. call the vet and ask him. if he said she was pregnant he might be able to help you more than yahoo answers

  5. Um...m..ask the vet who said she was pregnant???/

  6. If your female guinea pig is still pregnant after 90 days, this is really bad. The average pregnancy for a sow is 75 days. I would take her back to the vet and have her x-rayed. Sometimes vets don't know what they are doing with small animals like guinea pigs and can be given a false prognosis. The only way to tell if your female is pregnant is near the end of her pregnancy by feeling her abdomen and trying to feel for the babies. If it has been 90 days I highly doubt that she is pregnant. Your female just might be fat. To ensure that she is pregnant and not just fat, check her sides when she walks. If she looks like she swallowed a watermelon side-ways and is up off the ground when she walks, then is probably pregnant. Just to be safe take her to the vet. If there are babies in her, then the babies would probably be dead by now and this can create a toxic build up from decay, which could cause septicimia in the mother and kill her.

  7. UM... YOU EITHER GOT A VERY VERY SICK GUINEA PIG OR A VERY VERY c**p VET!

    GET A SECOND OPINION!

  8. Maybe she had a miscarage. That is a long time.

Ask your vet if he/she could give a ultrasound to see if their alive. If not have the vet remove them. I know this sounds hard but its the best for her.

    Hope this helps!

  9. Don't wait for an answer on yahoo. Call or schedule an appointment because an animal is a serious thing. Something could be really wrong or nothing could be wrong but it is better to be safe than sorry. Hope all goes well.

  10. I dont think your guinea pig would still be pregnant after 90 days but maybe you need a second opinion or you may need to ask another vet
