  1. Put fresh rosemary sprigs in a vase of water.  It will smell wonderful.

  2. Get citrus fruits, orange, lemon, lime, whatever you prefer and roll on a board or worktop to slightly soften.  Then stick with fresh cloves, stand on a dish and let the fragrance blend.  You could also stick in short sprigs of rosemary, thyme or lavender as an alternative.  This "pot pourri" lasts at least a week and then fragrances the rubbish bin when you throw it out.  Also, non-allergenic  and non-chemical to sensitive noses, or asthma sufferers.

  3. i buy lillies, i love the smell.. my house smells gorgeous when i have them ...i am currently trying to grow them in my garden so i have a fresh supply whenever.. if i haven't any, i burn a incense stick (rose scented ones smell gorgeous) and if you find a good make, the smell will last from when you go out in the morning till you come in at night..  and when i am home i always have windows open.. (i have a stinky cat to try and combat with ..lol!!! i am paranoid about smells..) x

  4. Essential oils provide a natural way to give your home a delightful aroma. There is a vast variety of them and you can use them according to your mood. You can use them in a burner, on light bulbs, using 8 drops in a plant mist with water and even using them for cleaning since the majority are disinfectant, antiseptic and bactericides. Few drops of your favourite essential oil on a cotton ball in the vacuum cleaner bag will leave your house smelling wonderful, and afterwards you can also use them for a bath or a massage...

  5. Gets some Lavender, It grows really well, and you can cut it and its smell is very intense, you can dry it and place it under pillows or in drawers

  6. you can use lots of essential oils go to a shop that sells them and decide which you like most or have some blended for you to burn in an oil burner or add to pot purri some you cold add to vodka and make your own air freshener in a pump spray bottle the alcohol evaporates and the oil will scent the air ...............tea tree oil is good to clan in the kitchen and pour some down the drains ............

    lavender

    orange

    lemon grass

    rosemary

    cleary sage

    eucalyptus

    to mention a few

  7. I put ground cinnamon in a small pot and simmer on the stove.

  8. Toss half a lemon or lime into your garbage disposal.  It will help clean the disposal, and add a nice citrus fragrance to the kitchen.

  9. you could get an oil burner and some fragrance oils like vanilla or citrus

they really make your house smell nice

I have also got one of those fresh air globes which clean the air, they are nice but the fragrances for it are quite expensive

  10. Lavender.

  11. You could grate or peel an orange or lemon, add water and put it on a back burner on low heat.  I have an electric oil warmer now that I really like.  It even has a dimmer switch to adjust the amount of scent.  You don't have to use oil in the little dish, you can use vanilla or almond extract, grated lemon, even your favorite shampoo or lotion (suntan lotion is great).  Here's some examples: http://www.google.com/products?q=oil+bur...

  12. Fresh flowers, pot pouri, fresh air!

  13. The new Glade battery operated candles are great and they have a variety of scents.  It sends out little puffs of scent that keeps your house smelling fresh all the time.  The little oil bottle and two batteries last about one month for me.  I have the candles on every night.

  14. The suggestions or fresh flowers, lemon in the disposal, lavender, boiling cinnamon water, etc... are all good suggestions. Another thing you do is buy your favorite essential oils ( I like lavender and lemon grass) Mix a few drops in a bottle of distilled water, shake and spray. Great natural scent.

  15. Soak a couple of cotton balls in vanilla.  Once they dry they smell amazing.
