  1. Why does she need to shave at 11? If she's not ready, don't force her.. In time, when she's a teenager, she'll see her friends will be doing it, then, she'll follow through..

  2. Don't make her do it. When she wants it enough, she'll be fine. 11 is young.

  3. Well, I understand why she would be shaving at eleven years old; I was in fifth grade when the "mean girls" in my class started teasing me for having hairy legs.  It starts early; probably even earlier now.  I also remember shaving an entire ribbon of skin off my shin once, and so I understand why she would be nervous.

I had a really bad reaction to Nair the one time I ever used it (skin basically burned and rolled right off my leg), so personally I would not recommend that for an 11 year old.  What about an electric razor?  It's awfully hard to cut yourself with one (though easy to get "razor" burn in, say, the bikini region...)  That's probably what I will get for my kiddo in a year or two.  It will take practice (and good lighting) for her to do a thorough job of shaving, but it's safe, probably cheaper in the end because you're not replacing blades every week or two (that can get REALLY expensive!) or buying shave gel.  Just a thought.  Good luck!

  4. just make her comfartable and after she is convinced and ready to listen do it with ur own hands to help her out

    i think problem get resolved

  5. I have a daughter the same age, she is Italian, so quite a bit hairy. She does not shave.

I would say she shouldn't be shaving.

If she is scared and doesn't want to do it she shouldn't.

You need to wait until she is ready.

11 year olds are to young to shave, unless the hair is really bothering them,,not you.

Usually the only reason girls shave is to impress their friends or to look good for a boy. Neither is a great reason to start so young.

  6. Unlike others, i would not recomend nair or veet. for most kids her age, it irrates skin and leaves marks that look like cuts. she may not want to shave for a while... but it's really her choice.

  7. Maybe try a product like Nair. It's a hair removal cream and it doesn't hurt and it's not scary. She would just put the cream on, let it sit a few minutes and then scrape it off gently. You can find it in most drugstores.

  8. First if she is that nervous then I would just get a bottle of nair and show her how to use it and do it that way.  It stinks true but it is easier for her to use than shaving.

Another option would be to find a razor and remove the blades from it and let her practice first with that.  She can get out the shave cream and practice away until she feels more confident and then go to using the real deal.

  9. Give her a razor without a blade on it, like one of those ones you get with the veet stuff, and let her practice with that first and get comfortable. Or, hey, maybe she could just use the veet, lol.

  10. Schick makes a beginners razor for girls that makes it impossible to cut yourself with. It has bars across the blades to keep the blades from cutting your skin. I would suggest buying it for her and telling her that you can't cut yourself with it. Once she feels comfortable using this, you can move her up to something that shaves closer. Good luck!

  11. She's 11. If she doesn't want to shave, why are you trying to make her? A bit of hair on her legs isn't the end of the world. She's not even a teen yet - let her be a child.

  12. Get her a battery-powered razor that doesn't have traditional blades.  It will eliminate the possibility of cutting herself, and she'll be much more comfortable with the process.    As we get into the spring and summer months where she'll be wearing shorts, there will be more of a need for her to shave, particularly if she's pretty hairy, as I was at that age :-)

  13. Don't make her do it. Shaving isn't something you have to do, and it won't hurt her if she waits longer. 11 is pretty young. As she gets older, she'll realize all the other girls have smooth legs and she doesn't, and she'll want to start on her own. Pressuring her is only going to make her more nervous.

  14. Hair Removal cream will help her it is not very expensive ya!!!!!!!!!!! small girl.

    Veet

    Anie French etc.,

  15. You can try a product like Nair or Veet, that just removes the hair without a razor. Maybe get her an electric shaver, or an "Intuition" razor with the soap and cream all around it, works great and doesnt feel as rough as just a razor and shaving cream.

  16. just tell her to be careful when doing it and get her a gentle shaving product like Venus or Nair.

  17. she is 11!!!!why must she shave???? Leave her be until she is ready

  18. You could get her an electric razor - that's what my daughter uses.
