Hi,I have Koi one of them seems to float alot with it's head down and tail fin out of the water

Could this be a sympton of some sort of illness.

  1. it may have a air bladder problem you should feed it peas or stuff that sinks to the bottom.  


  2. i think its constipation.

    take a frozen pea, thaw it and peel off the outer shell.

    it acts as a laxative.

  3. I've had that happen with goldfish. One lasted over a month doing that but eventually died. I'm not a fish expert so I dont really know exactly what is wrong with your fish. Is it a large pond, outdoors? Are the fish too warm or too cold? Are they over populated? Is there a filter of some sort cycling their tank/pond? More details would help.

  4. swimbladder disease the koi suck too much air, sometimes it goes along with the food they eat,  quarantine it add rocksalt with good aeration and no feeding for 3 days and do daily water change of 10 percent
