  1. Heathrow has an Underground tube station which takes you to London Bridge. Change at London Bridge and then get a British rail train to Ashford. Ask an attendent what platform at London Bridge the train departs from because they are not always off the same platform.

  2. One way to get to Ashford is via train. One website I found has this information: You can get to Ashford very readily via trains from Heathrow, changing in London. Take a train from the Heathrow Airport terminals to London's Victoria Station or Charing Cross Station, and change to Ashford. There are frequent trains. Check for schedules, as some are high-speed trains, and can get you from London-Ashford in 1 hour 15 minutes.

Ashford has become a large rail hub for international trains under the Channel, so service to Ashford is relatively easy. Here is some information from a website below:

    ..........

"Ashford - Over 150 years of Railway experience There can't be many towns of similar size to have such rail connections than Ashford has and with the building of the Channel Tunnel along with associated Ashford International, the Railway Station has become not only a major town landmark but a buzz for people wishing to travel both domestically and internationally as well.

London is served by two routes, via Maidstone to London Victoria (some to Charing Cross) and via Paddock Wood, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks to London Charing Cross.

The average journey time for most fast services is 1hr15min.

The faster services go on an hourly basis with stopping services for smaller towns and villages inbetween. "

  3. Do ignore the 2 answers above, please.

Take the Piccadilly line (coloured blue on the Underground map) of the London Underground from Heathrow to Earls Court, then change to the District Line (green on the map) and get a train to Victoria.

Come up out of the Underground and you'll be in Victoria Station.

A train to "Ashford International" (as the station is called) is approx every 30 minutes and takes around 90 minutes.

You'll need to buy a single ticket to Victoria from Heathrow, at £4, then a separate ticket from Victoria to Ashford - if you're returning, a return (round trip) ticket will be much cheaper

(usually, a single is £19.50 - with a return rarely costing more than £20.40).

Full details and a journey planner is in the link below.
