  1. U need to be specific. What kind of job do you have on mind ? It depends, every job has + & - . With most of the "cruise ship" jobs you need to stay on board and work when the ship is at port. That hurts ;-(  I used to work in the casino and that was really great, as the casino could not be open at port.  We work for a small salary and the tips. In the Caribbean the tips were sooo good. Shops are closed as well, however, they still need to do back - work in the shops. The money is not that good. Entertainers are off at port and don't need to work every day. The pay depends on what you do (regular dancer, comedian...) Waiters and bartenders have generally pretty good money, but they work like slaves. The same is for cabin stewards. Receptionists behind the front desk work a lot too, but they are ranked as "officers" and have lots of pasenger priviliges. The pay also depends on what you do. All the crew members need to do safety drills. Staff members (shops, casino, dancers..) usually once a months (and every embarcation day), the crew members (cabin stewards, waiters, janitors, cooks..) do it every week while at port. For most of the cruise lines, the crew works every day. You don't need to spend much money while on board, everything is paid for. The food, the acommodation. It is a hard work, but it is worth it. I have seen so many places I would not have otherwise seen. And for free ;-) Imagine, waking up almost everyday somewhere else !!!

    Good luck !!!
