Hi,i need help finding performance parts for a 1996 nissan altima. ?

i just searched almost every site and can not find mods such as exhaust cold air intake and headers for my 1996 nissan altima 2.4

Did you think trying to force an old engine to do new tricks might cause a spun rod bearing or broken valve spring. Please start your modifications on a much newer car with low miles. 1996 was over 12 years ago the engine must have over 100,000 miles on it. Your money better spent finding a new car then finding performance modifications for that car.

These guys are no fun or they think you are an idiot...maybe both.

I have a 1997 Nissan 240sx and we share the same engine, mine being rear wheel drive and yours front, but the same for generally speaking. Nissan calls this engine the KA24DE.

On my car I added a turbo kit and have been pushing over 300hp on the stock engine for 4 years now. There are 100's of others doing the same with 200,000 mile altimas and 240sx's.

It can be done for as little as $1500.

Bolt ons like intake and/or exhaust do very little on this engine. 20hp max. By the time you spend $1000 on bolt ons you could have used that money on building a turbo kit.

I agree with John Paul. That car is old. Sometimes it's just not worth it. How about the new Altima 3.5 SE V6?

Go to your local aftermarket parts store and tell them what you are looking for.  My brother had a similar car and got a custom exhaust, lowered, aftermarket head and tail lights and a full body kit with 18s on it looking real good.
