Welcome to the world of go :-)

There are quite a few places you can go to play go online. The biggest go server is called IGS (Internet Go Server). You can download the client here:

There is also a server called KGS, and I personally prefer that much more than IGS. There are not as many people there, but it is very friendly, and the user interface is much easier to understand. You can either play online without downloading, or download the client and play that way. You can find either version here:

Do you know how to play go? If not, there are lots of tutorials to teach you online. My favourite one is 'The Interactive Way to Go'. It is completely free, and will take you through all the basic rules of go. It will also give you examples that you can solve on the site, which is very helpful when you're learning.
