  1. try to keep her fluids up. Not eating isn't the end of the world but dehydration can be a real concern. Give her small amounts of water, even a popsicle if that is all she'll take.

  2. The B:bananas R:rice A:applesauce T:toast

If this doesn't help bring her to the ER

  3. It certainly sounds to me like she has a stomach virus, especially since her sister just had the same thing. I would give her nothing at all to eat -- until at least tomorrow morning -- and I would wait even longer if she throws up again between now and then. I would wait and not give her anything at all to eat for 12 hours after she throws up. I would just give her ginger ale -- little sips at a time -- as if it were medicine. But nothing else.

  4. if you can't see the doctor, then take her to the hospital, she is too young to allow this to go on for too long

  5. Try giving her Pedialyte, or maybe some Gatorade diluted with water - or just plain water.  When my daughter when through a similiar thing, my Doc told me DO NOT worry about getting food in her stomach right away, that will only upset it more.  Just make sure she is getting lots of fluids and is having wet diapers.  Eventually, try a little BLAND food, like crackers, bananas, etc.  The BRAT diet (stands for Bananas, Rice, Apples and Toast).  Even if you cant get her in to see her Doc, you can always call his office and talk to one of his nurses - they will be more than happy to answer your questions and tell you what to do.

  6. Go to the hospital if you cant get to your doctor. Shes very young and it could be more serious then you think. Make it to a doctor or hospital by whatever means necessary. Don't risk your childs health.  Its better safe then sorry...

good luck and i hope she gets well soon

  7. you couldn't get into your doctor? Well... call them back and ask them what to do.

Take her to urgent care if you need too.. call your insurance to find out which one to go to.. there are several in my town that costs me the same as my copay at a docs office.

  8. does sha have any other symptoms? such as a headache, dizziness, lethargy? my son went thru this at one point when he wanted to eat but couldnt keep anything down. he was also losing his balance and kept falling. he also complained of a headache all the time. when i took him to the doctor they sent him for a catscan and it turned  out that he had a brain tumor in his cerebellum which is the part of the brain that controls vomitting.

not trying to scare u but a lot of times there is more than just vomitting and something that serious probably wouldnt be ur first guess.

i hope that ur daughter is feeling better.

  9. Still could be a tummy bug.  Just let her take a tiny bit of water every 10 minutes.  You can also try Gatorade if she is not eating much of anything else, but just a bit.

She does not know how to regulate herself yet so you will have to.  My 3 year old had something very similar and it was a tummy bug.  She did not have a fever either.

Just make sure there are still plenty of pee pee diapers and watch out for diarrhoea.  If this lasts through tomorrow take her in to the doctor.  You need to watch out for dehydration.

Do not let her eat or drink too much at one time.  Just a bit and see if it stays down.  If not give it some time and try again.

If it is just this same bug it should not last too long.  But if she become listless and you can tell something has changed take her in immediately.  Most pediatricians have walk in appointments, you might just have to wait (unless she throws up on the floor - you get in fast then!)

Or if you are really worried you can take her to the ER.  But if she seems ok and this goes away by tomorrow you should be fine.

Just a bit of water and maybe a cracker every so often, as she can keep it down.

Lots of snuggling!  Hope she feels better soon.

  10. Try having her nibble on some saltine crackers and lay off fluids. Get her to a hospital emergency room immediatly.

  11. Go to your ped or a hospital.  It is very likely that she could become dehydrated and might need intravenous hydration.

  12. She doesn't have to have a fever to have a stomach virus. The first time my daughter was throwing up her doctor gave me excellent advice. She told me that for the first hour after a person throws up their stomach constricts itself. She told me to wait one hour after she threw up and then give her a small amount of pedialyte. Wait twenty minutes to see if she throws it up. If she doesn't, give her another small amount of pedialyte. (For a toddler I would try 4-6oz.) If she does throw up after twenty minutes, wait another hour and try it again. The first twenty four hours, as long as she is not showing signs of dehydration or high fever, all you can do is monitor her and try to get fluids in her. If you offer her too many fluids at one time or too soon after she throws up, her stomach won't be able to handle it and will throw it up.

  13. Okay. im not a baby but the same thing happened to me.

i couldnt keep anything in me, not even LIQUID. i have a stomach bug virus. you should take her to the hospital they gave me the intervenus and it helped me alot. now i can slowy start eattting again.

  14. My daughter, son and I just had the flu, there was no fever for any of us. But it was constant throwing up about every 20 minutes (even when there was nothing left to throw up). My daughters lasted 3 days my sons lasted 2 days then I got it for just a day.  The first day nothing would stay down but the next day the doc said to start with just a teaspoon of water and  wait to see if that stayed down then give little sips if it does stay down. Hope she feels better soon.

  15. Don't worry about food but please get her hydrated.  A child that young dehydrates VERY easily when they are throwing up and/or have diarrhea.  Try pedialyte.  They even make pedialytle popsicles.

  16. RING THE NHS HELP LINE THEY WILL ADVICE YOU WHAT TO DO

    0845 4647

THEY WILL TELL YOU WHAT TO DO

  17. Since your other child had this same thing I wouldn't be worrying too much.  Since she is younger you do need to keep an eye for dehydration though as it can happen faster.

Let her suck on Popsicles.   That's a great way to get fluids into their system without straight liquids.    Too much liquid at once irritates the stomach.   As long as a little is staying down she'll be fine.

If she becomes listless and very pale then it may be time for the ER.

  18. I think rushing to the ER is jumping the gun.  It's most likely a stomach bug.  The most important thing is to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated.  When my daughter was younger, she had a stomach bug also.  My doc said to give her 2 tbsp. fluid every 10 minutes.  I used a medicine dropper to get it into her.  Pedialyte or Gatorade is best.  Don't push food on her.  If her diapers become dry or she has no tears when she cries, that's when you really need to worry.  Also check her mouth to ensure it is not dry.  One day of puking shouldn't cause this.

  19. take her straight to hospital if you can't get the doctor
