Hi All, I bought a suite from Land of Leather and i have heard they are going under?

im worried about handing over the final £1000 (already paid a £500 deposit). But since hearing they are in trouble im worried they will go under before they deliver my new Suite? has anyone heard anything on this? and what are my rights if I hand it over and they then go down?

Can you get the suit first before handing over the rest of the money?

Otherwise pay for it on your credit card and use the cash to pay for it straight away.  At least then you'll be protected.

Didn't that happen a few years ago?  I'm sure I've had people ask me the same question more than once a long time ago, and I seem to remember some stories in the news about non-delivery of furniture, also many years ago.  Of course, that could have been another company I've forgotten about.

If you have enough left on your credit card, use that to pay the remainder - at least you'll get it back if it all goes belly-up....
