Hi All, where is the best place to stay in kgn cheaply and safely i.e. J$15,000 max a month? coming for summer

I am coming to Jamaica for the summer and wanted to stay in a 1 bed or studio flat/apartment or one bedroom place and was finding it difficult to fin anywhere on the internet. Can anyone give me some pointers on where I can find somewhere to rent in Jamaica for 2-3monthd pref. in new kgn or somewhere safe around kgn area. Thanks for your comments they will truly be appreciated. x

For that price you would not get anything worth while. I suggest you get a flatmate. I am not sure about looking for a place online. I think that you should work with a friend or someone in Jamaica so that they can look for and check out places for you.

A student flat in mona hieghts is usually about $16k to 20k per month. They are generally hard to find vacant, but if you are looking for a place just for the summer it might be a bit easier.  The internet would not be the best place to look.

You could try to find a UWI or UTECH student who will be away for the summer, and basically rent their flat while they are away.

Both universities have lodging offices that might be able to assist in linking up with students who will be away for the summer, or with owners willing to rent thier flats for summer tenancy.

That is not gonna be easy unless you are looking to rent some space (maybe a room and a bathroom) in a private household. U'd have better luck finding exactly what you want somewhere in portmore for that price. It would be difficult to say where to find that information online but you can always check the Gleaner Classifieds. Good Luck! and I hope this helped
