I have 2 classes. Each class needs to make a separate project to be auctioned. The am class has 10 children the pm class has 16. Last yr we painted a large vase and had it fired (aucitoned for $2000)and the pm class made an abstract art canvas(auctioned for over 3000). We cannot repeat projects. (ggrrrrrr)

  1. Get a stool, and paint it dark blue and with silver spray paint make stars like the sky and a shooting sar drawn by you with paint. Then have all the little kids write their wishes in white paint.

  2. My sister did this for her preschool auction...bought  a bare wood step stool for children at a store like Hobby Lobby or another hobby store/bare furniture store. Paint it. (painted this one yellow) THEN, go to the class with primary color paints. Paint one child's foot red, another blue, another white, etc...put the FEET prints on the stool. and write in aint pen the childs name under each set of prints. Her stool held 6 prints. :) It was a huge hit. EACH parent bid on their child's stool. (6 different children's foot prints were on one stool.) She had 3 stools in the auction.

  3. Coffee table - Let each kid decorate a small tile (size of tiles depends on size of coffee table) and cement / grout to tabletop. The table itself could be unfinished - the kids could paint the legs as well, or an  Aiderondak Chair unfinished, let the kids paint / decorate. Good Luck!

  4. You could make a blank scrapbook for people to put pictures in.  My children love to use all the fancy punches, sticker packages, and patterned papers to make scrapbook pages, and it's pretty foolproof.

  5. You could do a cloth square with each one of their handprints, write their names under their hands and sew it into a quilt.
