  1. I visited Dublin last year. the two best things were guiness and this jail. cant remember the name of the prison but it is just outside the city (about 8 minute bus ride)

  2. its the capital of Ireland, the biggest city, possibly the most expensive. basically you get what you pay for.. your lucky if you find anything cheap!

  3. Its a lovely city, the friendliest in the world. Go there, they want you to spend your €.

  4. Expensive! Very expensive ....

In order to get into music venues, make nice to the musicians you see, if you're a girl it's very easy to get put on the guest list, I did it recently and it was fine, saved me and my girls €15 each - an entrance fee which did not include drinks.

Stay out of Dublin city centre when you go out, it's a complete rip-off in terms of money. But a free place to dance is Cafe en Seine on Dawson, keep your money and mobile phone with you at all times.

  5. The Original Metropolitan Area of Dublin City is Small, It is bounded by the Two Canals, The Grand Canal on the South Side and the Royal on the North Side 4 Kilometre between the Canals and 7 Kilometre   between the Sea and Islandbridge.Outside this Area Dublin has grown Enormousely i n Surburbia. There are many Beautiful Shops ,Restaurants,Pubs and Clubs all over the City. The Grafton Street Area on the South side, and Henry Street and Mary Street on the North Side is the main Shopping Areas. You have a choice now of many different International Cuisines in Restaurants all over the City now unlike 15 Years ago .It is very Cosmopolitan now ,it has really taken off. There is a real Buzz in the Air now in Downtown Dublin. As well as that you have the Historic Element to , Many fine Georgian Buildings, Museums and Art Galleries, and our Museums and Galleries are Free admission, except in the very rare instance that you might be charged if there is something on loan and is conditional on the Exhibitor otherwise it is Entree Libre toute  de La Mussee National. We are very close to the Seaside, all you have to do is Hop on the Dart Train to Howth on the North side or DunLeary/DunLaoghaire, Killiney, Bray, or Greystones on the South Side.

Edit  MAX.The Gaol your Probably talking about is Kilmainham Gaol in  Kilmainham  Islandbridge. It is now about 200 Years Old Where they  Imprisoned Charles Stewart Parnell, and the Leaders of the 1916 Rebellion before they Executed them.

  6. Irelands biggest city as it keeps Dublin in size. Tis the heart of Ireland where Guiness is made

  7. Not as good as it used to be.

    And it'll be COLD!

  8. Dublin is a legend of a place!!

I would also recommend getin on the bus tour as i did it during the summer and the amount of stuff i learned about Dublin that i never knew and i have been living in Dublin my hole life its well worth it!!

And make sure you go temple bar a place called "Eamon Dorian's" you will have a brill time there everyone is sooooo friendly and the music is good!!!

  9. Hi, I love Dublin and i will be there in January, when you get to the airport the Airlink bus will take you into Dublin for around 7 euros, ( that's if you don't want to take a taxi) you can buy the ticket for the bus from a machine just outside the airport terminal near the bus stop.  When you are in Dublin take a tour bus it costs around 14 euros you ac "hop on hop off" all day. The tour bus takes you to all the main tourist attractions, Guinness Factory, Jameson Factory, Phoenix Park,   Henry St. is fantastic for shopping, and pay a visit to the Post Office it takes you back in time (it's on O'Connell St. ) also visit the department store Clarey's.that is also on O'Connell St. Have a great stay.
