Hi my friend just gaved me a cell phone a nokia i dont know what to do with it because i mark a number and it says emergency calls only so, i dont get it can you please help

do i have to make contract

It depends on whether it is a prepaid phone in which case you could buy minutes to reload or a regular phone in which case you would call them to set up an account. Good luck.
